The IDMsm is designed for OEMs who use an EtherCAT DS402-based control system in combination with high-precision motion control applications. The IDMsm contains 2 or 4 universal servo drives with an input voltage of 12-48Vdc and an output current of up to 5A nominal and 10A peak. The IDMsm can be controlled by any EtherCAT master and utilizes powerful servo control algorithms (sample frequency=20kHz) to optimize the performance of the motion control system.
The integrated universal servo controller offers the system designer flexibility to control virtually any type of motor. With the optional ServoBopostTM algorithm, very high performance can be achieved in terms of standstill jitter, settling time, and speed accuracy. For specific functionality, it is possible to program your own functions using the ACSPL+ programming language. The IDMsm also has a Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) to be able to read specific feedback systems such as autofocus signals. Optionally, the Safe Stop 1 (SS1) and Safe Torque Off (STO) functions are available, which comply with SIL-3 and PLe safety requirements.
