Control modules
De Control Modules zijn motion controllers met geïntegreerde drives die toegepast worden in met name de high-precision mechatronische systemen. Ze combineren een krachtige EtherCAT-motion controller met maximaal 8 ingebouwde drives en een voeding in één compacte behuizing. Alle type motoren: roterend of lineair, DC of AC, enkel, twee- of driefasig kunnen worden aangestuurd met de geïntegreerde drives. Elke motion control module kan als EtherCAT-controller tot 32 of 64 assen en duizenden IO-punten besturen! De motion controller genereert de bewegingsprofielen voor alle assen. De update snelheid van het EtherCAT-netwerk is maximaal 5 kHz. Alle assen worden gesynchroniseerd door een distributed clock met een nauwkeurigheid van beter dan 0,1 microseconde, en voeren de servobesturingsalgoritmen uit met een sample frequentie van 20 kHz.
Elke Control Module bestaat verder uit een power stage voor het aansturen van de motoren en een afzonderlijke 24Vdc logica voeding. Deze wordt logica voeding wordt gebruikt voor de control spanning die alle logische circuits van spanning voorziet tijdens normale- en noodsituaties. De motion controllers ondersteunen een breed scala aan encoders, zowel incrementele digitale als analoge Sin-Cos, en absolute encoders.
